This policy explains what personal information CareJobs collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have — including how our text-message program works.
Effective date: July 22, 2026Applies to: the CareJobs website, mobile web app, and text-message program
01 Who we are & scope
CareJobs ("CareJobs", "we", "us", or "our") operates an online platform that connects home-care and caregiving agencies with caregivers who are looking for work. Agencies post open positions and review applicants; caregivers create a profile, browse open positions, and apply.
This Privacy Policy applies to the CareJobs website, the caregiver mobile and web app, and our text-message program (together, the "Service"). It does not cover the independent practices of the agencies you interact with or of any third-party sites you reach through links. CareJobs is the business responsible for your personal information and is the sender of all messages described in this policy; you can reach us using the details under Contact us.
02 Information we collect
Information you provide
Account details — your name, email address, and mobile phone number. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google.
Caregiver profile — city, state, and ZIP code; profile photo and résumé; certifications; job title, years of experience, desired pay rate, languages spoken, employment types, and shift availability. Your exact street address, if provided, is kept private and is not shown to agencies.
Agency information — for agency users, your agency profile and the job postings and related content you create.
Applications and activity — the jobs you apply to and the information submitted with an application.
Information collected automatically
Device and usage data — IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and actions taken, used to operate and secure the Service.
Local storage and cookies — used to keep you signed in and to remember settings such as your preferred language. See Cookies.
Information from third parties
When you choose to sign in with Google, Google provides us with basic account details (such as your name and email address) in accordance with your Google settings.
03 How we use information
Create and maintain your account and authenticate you, including by sending one-time verification codes by text message.
Operate the Service — showing open positions, matching caregivers with relevant jobs, and delivering your applications to the agencies you apply to.
Communicate with you: send transactional messages (such as verification codes and application updates) and, where you have opted in, job alerts and product announcements.
Translate agency-authored content into the language you select.
Maintain safety and security, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our terms.
Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
04 Text messaging (SMS)
CareJobs offers a text-message (SMS) program so you can verify your account and, if you choose, receive job-related notifications. Participation is optional and is not a condition of using the rest of the Service.
SMS program disclosures

Account verification — one-time passcodes sent when you sign up or sign in;
Application confirmations — a confirmation when you submit a job application; and
Job alerts — new caregiving jobs matching your skills, hours, and area, sent only if you tick the optional, unchecked job-alerts box when you add your number (or turn alerts on later in your notification settings).
Message frequency
Message frequency varies based on your activity and notification settings.
Cost
Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.

We do not share your mobile information
We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number, or your SMS opt-in and consent, with any third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties for marketing. Mobile information collected through the SMS program is used solely to deliver the messages described above and is shared only with the messaging providers that help us send them, under contract and only for that purpose.
05 How we share information
We share personal information only as described below. We do not sell your personal information, and — as stated above — we do not share mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in data with third parties for marketing.
With agencies you apply to. When you apply to a job or make your profile available to the shared caregiver network, the relevant agency can see the profile and application information you have chosen to provide (your exact street address is not included).
With service providers. We use vendors that host our data, send text messages and email, and translate content. They may process personal information only to provide services to us, under contractual confidentiality and security obligations.
For legal and safety reasons. To comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect the rights, safety, and security of CareJobs, our users, and the public, and to detect or prevent fraud or abuse.
Business transfers. If CareJobs is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
06 Cookies & similar technologies
We use cookies and browser local storage to keep you signed in, secure the Service, and remember preferences such as your chosen language. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect how the Service works.
07 Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, and thereafter as required to meet legal, accounting, security, or dispute-resolution needs. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
08 Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including access controls, encryption in transit, and private storage for sensitive files such as résumés and certifications. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
09 Your rights & choices
Access and update. You can view and edit your profile information at any time from your account.
Text messages. Reply STOP to any message to stop SMS, or adjust your notification settings in the app.

Deletion. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal information by contacting us; some information may be retained where the law permits or requires.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws. To exercise any right, contact us using the details below.
10 Children's privacy
The Service is intended for adults. It is not directed to children, and caregivers and agency users must be at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and will delete such information if we learn we have collected it.
11 International users & language
CareJobs is operated from the United States, and your information may be processed there. The app is available in multiple languages; if a translated version of this policy differs from the English version, the English version governs to the extent permitted by law.
12 Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
